Just got the 40k Battle Missions book delivered today - it's ace!
The Kill Team mission in particular has captured my attention.
Following on from the excellent little Combat Patrol mini tourneys Chris has run does anyone fancy giving a Kill Team night a go?
The rules are:
Total Points: 200pts
Army Selection: 0-1 Elite, 0-2 Troops, 0-1 Fast Attack
Game Length and Victory Conditions: Once a players force is down to half it's starting number of models he must make an LD at the beginning of each of his turns. Failure means his force flees - oppo wins. Leadership test is taken on highest LD in force. Apply -1 modifier second time has to be taken by same player, -3 for the third etc.
Table Set-up: Play on a 3x4 table (so two games can fit on a single 6x4 table - it actually states can be played on a 3x3 or 4x4 but 3x4 works too). Use as much terrain as possible.
Deployment: Neither side can keep anything in reserve, Table Quarters - players dice-off, winner deploys his force in one quarter 9" from centre of table, oppo sets up opposite. Player that deployed first rolls D6 and gets first turn on a 2+.
Special Rule: Every Man for Himself - Every model acts as an individual. When a model shoots or assaults it can split it's attacks against multiple eligible targets.

There's also an optional rule about being able to select 3 USRs to spread around your force but we can give that a miss in the first instance - unless you guys want to use it.
Post here if you want to give it a go and we can arrange a suitable Monday Night to play it.
